„Black Bull“ ist der erste Vorbote zum Album „Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost (Part II)“ der Foals
Endlich ist es soweit! Foals haben mit der Single „Black Bull“ den zweiten Teil ihres Doppelalbum-Projektes angekündigt. „Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost (Part II)“ wird am 18. Oktober erscheinen. Der erste Teil erschien bereits im März 2019 und wurde von der Musikpresse gefeiert.
„Part two is a heavier listen, the guitars are more emphasised and there’s some big riffs on it,“ erklärt Yannis Philippakis im Interview mit dem NME. „It’s a rock record and it definitely carries on the narrative from part one. Part one ended with a lot of fire and destructive imagery, part two is trying to respond to that: how you can continue in the wreckage and through the scorched earth? We’re just excited for people to hear it because it completes the journey of what we’ve made over the last year-and-a-half.“
Wie auch der erste Part wurde dieses Album von Foals selbst produziert: Yannis Philippakis (Gesang/Gitarre), Jimmy Smith (Gitarre), Jack Bevan (Schlagzeug) und Edwin Congreave (Keyboards), wobei auch Philippakis und Congreave den Bass beisteuern.
