Corridor präsentieren Video zur Single „Topographe“ – Album erscheint im Oktober
Die kanadische Band Corridor veröffentlicht Mitte Oktober ihr neues Album „Junior“. Ab sofort kann man sich auch das neue – an Monty Python erinnernde – Animationsvideo zur Single „Topographe“ ansehen, in dem die Band selbst mitspielt.
Jonathan Robert von Corridor war selbst für die Visuals zu „Topographe“ verantwortlich und sagt zum Video: „While I’ve explored and mixed many different techniques in my past music videos, it’s the first time that I took the process this far, blending all of them together in one place. It’s a melting pot of stop motion, green screen, illustration, animation, collage, and live video. It’s the visual equivalent of the progression of the song, a simple idea that takes amplitude through repetition.“
Mit „Junior“ veröffenlticht die Band das schillerndste, unmittelbarste und originellste Album ihrer jungen Karriere: 39 Minuten mit hervorstechenden und sich blitzschnell wieder zurückziehenden Gitarren, spiralförmigen Gesangsharmonien und der goldenen Nostalgie eines Sonntagnachmittags. Das Album enthält die Singles „Topographe“, „Grand Cheval“, „Pow“, „Domino“ sowie den Titeltrack und wurde von Emmanuel Éthier produziert, von Samuel Gemme arrangiert, anschließend von Éthier und Gemme in Montreal in den ReelRoad Studios gemischt und von Josh Bonati bei Bonati Mastering in New York gemastert.
