Fat White Family zeigen uns das surreale Video zur Single „Tastes Good With The Money“
Fat White Family haben mit „Tastes Good With The Money“ einen weiteren Song aus ihrem kommenden Album „Serfs Up!“ veröffentlicht. Das dazugehörige Video ist eine Hommage an den Monty Python Sketch „Sam Peckinpah’s Salad Days“ und wurde gedreht von Róisín Murphy.
Über das Video erzählt Róisín Murphy: „The idea of referencing Monty Python partly came out of the somewhat absurd and confusing political landscape that we are now living in Britain, Python seems prescient. The British laughing at themselves, a certain kind glee even in the loss of empire, singing as the ship goes down, well it just seems so…of the moment. There is this deep ambivalence to the establishment that resonates with the Fat Whites own irreverent world view.“
„Serfs Up!“ wird am 19. April via Domino Records erscheinen. Es ist das dritte Album der Band, die mittlerweile in Sheffield beheimatet ist, und das erste seit dem 2016er „Songs For Our Mothers“. Aufgenommen wurde als Trio. Lias und Nathan Saoudi wurden dabei von Saul Adamczewski unterstützt, der die Band vor zwei Jahren kurzzeitig verlassen hatte
