Trevor Sensor veröffentlicht im Juni sein Debütalbum
Mitte Juni erscheint das Debütalbum von Trevor Sensor. Mit „High Beams“ präsentiert uns der 23-jährige Singer/Songwriter aus Sterling, Illinois die erste Singleauskopplung aus „Andy Warhol’s Dream“.
Der Albumtitel bezieht sich auf Andy Warhols Prophezeiung einer Welt, die ihren falschen Idolen und Prominenten hinterher läuft. „His ‚fifteen minutes of fame‘ prediction is clearly visible today,“ erklärt Sensor. „I’m only really referencing Warhol as a vehicle for the ultimate representation of celebrity culture because of his repeated Marilyn Monroe or Elvis paintings or whatever. But now we’re in a post-god society that is finding new golden calves to worship, that is moving beyond that.“
Letztes Jahr hat Trevor Sensor bereits seine EPs „Texas Girls And Jesus Christ“ und „Starved Nights Of Saturday Stars“ veröffentlicht. Daraufhin wurde er von Magazinen wie Consequence Of Sound, Under The Radar oder Exclaim für seine außergewöhnliche Stimme und seinen Songwriting-Stil gelobt.
„Andy Warhol’s Dream“ wurde in Steve Albinis Electrical Audio Studio in Chicago aufgenommen und von Richard Swift (The Shins, Damien Jurado), Jonathan Rado von Foxygen und Brandon Darner (Imagine Dragons, The Envy Corps) produziert.
